Has any Maltese ever won anything on deviantart?

I want to know something...

In Valletta, nearish to one of the major clothes shops (I think it's Jennyfer or something) there's this place, rectangular and surrounded by a high fence. Inside, there's a statue with stone skulls around the base. It backs the church.

Does anyone know where exactly that place is and what it is?
